Planning a visit

Make the most of your time at The Gardens of the Rose

The Gardens of the Rose are located in Hertfordshire, just outside St Albans and barely five minutes from Junction 21a of the M25 and or Junction 6 of the M1. These showpiece gardens of the Royal National Rose Society are a magnet for anyone with a passion for Roses. It is a great place to get ideas for how and where to plant roses in your own garden or to simply spend a few hours in a uniquely relaxing, reflective and inspiring environment.  Please check our opening dates and times before starting your journey.
